About

What is a Doula?   About me.

A Doula is a non-medical person who provides support in advance care planning, support and planning during LIFE'S FINAL STEPS, and support for those grieving a death.

I graduated from the Douglas College End of Life Doula Program, and have completed a program in Grief and Bereavement from Mohawk College in Ontario.  I have a nursing background and worked in many roles throughout my career but always felt drawn to end-of-life care.  I have volunteered for many years with Hospice.  I have experienced many deaths in my life and have seen the difference planning and support can make.  My goal is help provide peaceful FINAL STEPS.  As a Doula, I provide a) support for all people to plan ahead while they are healthy- this is a gift to yourself and your family b) support and planning for those who have a life- limiting illness, and their families c) support for those who are grieving after a loss.
